So Pantone LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of X-Rite, Incorporated, is the world-renowned authority on color and provider of color systems and leading technology for the selection and accurate communication of color across a variety of industries. Pantone has chosen 2015's color of the year and the color is ... Marsala. It's a naturally robust and earthy wine red. 

This is important to anyone who actually wants to make their shopping easier this year as you will probably see most fashion designers and boutique housed lean towards this color and varying tones.
