I think it's super important for investors to learn to be profitable because a very important mental aspect of investing is feeling accomplished and successful. The best way to do this is to be able to spend. Once you've bought clothes, electronics and cars then what? I say travel. Go meet people and see places! It'll wake you the fuck up and give you some motivation to go harder. It does for me at least.
