Winter Rescue
During these colder months one thing we all have in common is our skin becoming drier! Winter air is often dry causing our skin to feel dry, tight and sometimes even flaky. Here are a four tips to keep the glow alive this winter.

1st: Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate !! Drink tons of water and layer on your favorite moisturizer, yes you too oily skin ladies & gents. I always recommend to my clients and personally prefer oils to moisturize the skin. They are light weight and will have your skin hydrated & glowing all day. For your body try shea butter or coco butter.

2nd: Exfoliate ! Exfoliating is the act of removing dead skin cells on the outer layer of the skin allowing your products to get where they have to go ! Say bye bye to that uncomfortable tightness and shed away that dry dead skin ! Your body too needs a good scrub. Exfoliate 1-2 times a week on your face and 3-4 times a week on your body. With active acne opt. for a chemical exfoliate such as glycolic acid or salicylic acid .

3rd: Invest in a humectant. Fancy word huh ? Humectant are ingredients that help your skin retain or preserve moisture, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, lactic acid and honey are a few popular humectants. Honey is one of my favorites ! DIY MASK : add organic manuka honey to face for 15minutes ! a great inexpensive mask that locks in moisture, fights acne, fights againg && will have your skin naturally glowing !

4TH: Wear SPF ! just because your not spending your day on the beach doesn’t mean the sun is not out. Sunscreen protects your skin from the sun damage, discoloration, aging, unwanted moles & freckles ! Yes please still enjoy our bright yellow ball in the sky but please just use protection 😉
